Todd was raised on a cash crop and livestock farm operation in South-Western Ontario. He is a graduate of both St. Clair College and U. of G.- Ridgetown College Campus with Diplomas in Business Marketing and Agricultural Production and Management-Field Crops and Livestock.
Todd’s family became involved in the AQHA Show Industry back in the 1970’s. Todd himself, started showing on the AQHA Circuit as a Youth Exhibitor, and earned multiple – ‘Year End High-Point Champion’ Titles, and ‘Grand Champion’ Trophies, which remain his favorite to date.
As a Family, the Laidlaw’s produced several World and Congress Champions/Reserve Champions, Quarterama Champions, Multiple Futurity Champions in Ontario, Michigan, and Other Major USA Futurities. Additionally, they have produced Ontario High Point Champions, Canadian Quarter Horse Assoc Champions & multiple High Point -‘Trophy Saddle’ Winners.
Today, Todd owns a Quarter Horse Breeding Farm where he has bred and raised AQHA and APHA World Champions/ Reserve Champions, Congress Champions/ Reserve Champions and ‘High Selling Horses’ at both the AQHA World Show Sale and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress-Super Sale, along with his private-farm Sales successes.
Todd had the privilege of accepting the NSBA-Hall of Fame Induction Award on behalf of his former Stallion “Sweet Talkin Chip”, & currently is enjoying the success of his new Stallion “TY”.
In 2021, “TY” won the prestigious “Sire of Excellence” Award for the Ontario Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity and has produced numerous Futurity Champions and All-Around Champion Award Earners in both Canada and the USA. Several NSBA Bronze Trophy Winners also represent the quality and focus of this Horse Program.
In his spare time, you will find Todd outside attending to the farm and horses, ensuring continued success. Todd looks forward to connecting with all of his Greenway customers to service their needs and requirements and assist with any questions and opportunities.
